1.1 Introduction
The Oriental Group of Restaurants (“Oriental Group”) would like to offer our privileged customers news and information regarding our products and services, including promotions, special offers and discounts. We are inviting you the opportunity to become a member of the Oriental Cuisine Club ("Member") to enjoy special privileges that Oriental Group may offer from time to time.
1.2 Collection and use of personal data
If you become a Member, you will need to provide Oriental Group with certain personal information (including your name and contact details such as email address and mobile number). You will need to provide us with your mobile number and email address for us to identify you as your name and mobile number will be your unique identifier as a member of Oriental Cuisine Club. Any personal data held by us about you will be held in accordance with our Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
1.3 Direct marketing
By clicking on the "JOIN NOW" button, you agree that Oriental Group, our affiliates, related entities, and third parties acting on our behalf ("Business Partners"), may collect, use and disclose your personal data, which you have provided at the member's portal at members.orientalrestaurants.com.my ("Member's Portal"), for providing marketing material that you have agreed to receive, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and Privacy Policy. Please note that marketing materials may be sent directly by our Business Partners, and we may disclose your personal data to them for that purpose.
1.4 Membership
1.4.1 Membership registration, Oriental Ringgit (OR) and Privileges
Where you sign up to become a member, you will be required to provide your mobile number, among the information we may require from you, in order to sign up for the membership. This may be required online or by our service team depending on the circumstances.
Membership is strictly non-transferable and shall only be enjoyed by the member in person.
As a Member, you earn Oriental Ringgit (OR) at the rate specified on the membership program when you spend at any Oriental Group participating restaurants (*not applicable on event/wedding packages, special promotions, set menus, SST and Service Charge). Please refer to Oriental Group Website for the updated list of participating restaurants. Member must be physically present as the point of dining and provide the registered mobile number in order to earn Oriental Ringgit (OR) and accumulate spending for tier upgrade. Requests on Oriental Ringgit (OR) and accumulation of spending for previous or backdated receipts will not be entertained. The system may require up to 1 working day to reflect the transactions and Oriental Ringgit (OR) earned. Combining multiple membership accounts or splitting the bill to earn Oriental Ringgit (OR) is strictly not allowed.
In the event network is down, Oriental Ringgit (OR) and accumulation of spending will be updated within 3 working days.
Earned Oriental Ringgit (OR) is valid for a maximum at 180 days from the last transaction date and valid for use during the membership year only. Oriental Ringgit (OR) can be used to offset the bill when dining at any participating Oriental Group restaurants, subject to Oriental Group’s sole discretion and any other terms and conditions stated in member’s portal at members.orientalrestaurants.com.my or marketing collaterals. Neither Oriental Ringgit (OR) nor privileges have any cash value and cannot be converted or redeemed for cash.
1.4.2 Membership tier
Unless otherwise determined by Oriental Group in its sole discretion, Gold tier is conferred on members when they first sign up for the membership programme and membership tier is valid for 365 days.
Gold tier member will enjoy Gold member privileges as stated in member’s portal at members.orientalrestaurants.com.my. To maintain as a Gold member, accumulate a qualifying spending RM1,000* within membership year.
Platinum tier is conferred on Gold members who accumulate a qualifying spend of RM30,000* within the membership year and enjoy Platinum privileges as stated in member’s portal at members.orientalrestaurants.com.my. To maintain as a Platinum member, accumulate a qualifying spend at RM30,000* within the membership year. Membership will change to Gold if qualifying spend is less than RM30,000* within the membership year.
*Qualifying spend is computed before SST and Service Charge.
Oriental Group may alter, limit or modify the membership privileges, terms and conditions and eligibility and/or termination of membership at any time in its sole discretion by giving reasonable notice on member’s portal at members.orientalrestaurants.com.my and/or by email, WhatsApp or SMS. Oriental Group reserves the right to replace a Reward with another Reward of equivalent or similar value and subject to availability. Rewards do not have any cash value and cannot be converted or redeemed for cash.
Members are encouraged to refer to the member’s portal at members.orientalrestaurants.com.my for latest/updated privileges.
1.4.3 Redemption and Expiry of Privileges/Rewards
As a Gold member, Oriental Ringgit 1.0 (OR1.0) will be awarded for every RM10* spent at any participating Oriental Group restaurants. You will receive 1 x RM 100 Birthday e-voucher (available once each calendar year with a minimum spending of RM 200 per transaction [before SST & service charge]) and valid for use by the Member on Member’s birthday month only.
As a Platinum member, Oriental Ringgit 1.5 (OR1.5) will be awarded for every RM10* spent at any participating Oriental Group restaurants. You will receive 1 x RM 300 Birthday e-voucher (available once each calendar year with a minimum spending of RM 800 per transaction [before SST & service charge]) and valid for use by the Member on Member’s birthday month only.
Oriental Ringgit (OR) is valid for 180 days from last transaction date and valid for use within membership period only. Members can use the Oriental Ringgit (OR) to offset the bills when dining at any participating Oriental Group restaurants (not applicable on 7 days before and during the 15 days of Chinese New Year). Member must be physically present (proof of identification required – name as per sign up) at the point of dining in order to redeem any membership privileges. Member is required to sign off on the tax invoice to acknowledge the redemption(s) made. Combining multiple membership accounts or splitting the bill to redeem membership privileges is not allowed. Note: System may require up to one (1) working day to reflect the transactions and Oriental Ringgit earned.
1.5 Amending personal data and terminating membership
You may amend your personal data or marketing preferences at any time via our member’s portal at members.orientalrestaurants.com.my. You are required to inform us in writing at club@orientalrestaurants.com.my should you choose to terminate your membership. Please allow a few working days for changes to take effect. Kindly be advised that there will be no refunds made and/or early issuance of any unused/unissued members privileges, Oriental Ringgit (OR) and/or e-vouchers at the point of termination. Alternatively, your membership will automatically be inactive upon minimum spending of less than RM1,000 within the membership year.
1.6 Termination and cancellation
We reserve the right to terminate the member's membership if the member is found to be under 18 years of age and/or the membership account is found to be shared with another non-Member.
We reserve the right to terminate your membership, in our absolute discretion, should you abuse any of the conditions and privileges bestowed on you as a Member.
2. Law and forum
These terms, including all policies and additional terms referenced herein (“Membership Agreement”), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Membership Agreement (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Malaysia courts.
3. Consent
I would like to join the Oriental Group Membership club (Oriental Cuisine Club) and I consent to the collection, holding, use and disclosure of my personal data in accordance with your Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). If I provide Oriental Group with any personal data relating to a third party by submitting such information, I represent and warrant that I have obtained the consent at the third party for Oriental Group to collect, use and disclose their personal data in accordance with the PDPA.
